A walk to Zrcadlové Boudy
A pleasant circular walk for those looking for a little more exercise, rewarded with beautiful views and some of the quieter parts of the mountains.

Route description
From Aurum Resort, head towards the centre of Černý Důl, then begin climbing one of the forest paths leading up the slopes of Černá hora.
The first section involves a steeper climb to a place known as Zrcadla (“Mirrors”), roughly halfway up the mountain. This is where some of the finest views open out across the surrounding landscape and the valley below.
From here, the route becomes gentler, following the slopes of Černá hora along a pleasant path that alternates between woodland and more open stretches with views. You then join the route through the valley of Čistá, which leads comfortably back to Černý Důl and Aurum Resort.

Hidden in the valley of Čistá is an old aqueduct dating from the area’s mining past. See if you can spot it along the way - it’s not immediately obvious.
The Zrcadla area is one of the most scenic spots on the slopes of Černá hora - and its name is no coincidence. German-speaking inhabitants once referred to the mountain as Spiegelkoppe, or “Mirror Mountain”, inspired by the open views from its southern slopes, which seem to reflect the entire Bohemian foothill landscape.
This is one of the quieter routes in the area, with relatively few visitors.
From Zrcadlové Boudy, the route follows the historic Lobkowicz Path (Lobkowitzweg) along the mountainside. This road - Lobkowitzweg in German - originally served as a route for bringing wood from the forests of the Black Mountain to the valley. It takes its name from the Lobkowicz family, one of the most prominent noble families in Czech history, whose estates once stretched across Bohemia - from their palace within Prague Castle and Nelahozeves to the château at Mělník, which remains in the family to this day.
